>From Director Mason,

Good day friends and colleagues...I send you this communication today to
announce my retirement as Director for the NH Division of Fire Standards
and Training and Emergency medical Services effective February 11, 2011.
After nearly one and one-half decades in this role it is a very
difficult decision to make, but after more than thirty-five years in the
NH Emergency Services field my time has come.

I will not be leaving the profession completely as I have signed on
part-time as the Training and Education Coordinator for the National
Fallen Firefighters Foundation and will still be in contact with you in
that capacity in the future.

It has been a great ride, Lebanon Fire, Nashua Fire, Portsmouth Fire
then here at the state level, I have enjoyed almost every minute of this
great profession.

Please stay safe and we will see you in the future...Thanks for your
support, Rick Mason

PERFECTION IS OUR GOAL...EXCELLENCE WILL BE TOLERATED!
