A National Educational Technology Plan is being developed by the U.S.
Department of Education with support from the Center for Technology in
Learning at SRI International, a nonprofit research organization
(spearheaded by Linda Roberts, past Director of Technology for the
USDoE).

Last week at the NECC conference, an ISTE Leadership Symposium was
attended by over 300 leading administrators, teachers, technology
coordinators, policymakers, and researchers in our field. Together they
contributed to the beginning content of this plan. Also, targeted forums
were being held during NECC for smaller groups of educators. Now is your
chance to contribute and to help guide the new Educational Technology
Plan. Your input is being solicited, but the deadline is July 12. 2009.

Here are directions for how to participate in the shaping of the next
national educational technology plan.
