This is a Google survey. If you have blocked Google apps, then perhaps that might affect your access to this survey. You should speak with your Tech Director about this and insist that Google apps be accessible. :) (couldn't resist it!)

Subject: [NHDOE-ETNews] IMPORTANT REQUEST for District Tech Directors re: eRate and Tech Plans
Importance: High
This message is directed primarily to District Technology Directors/Coordinators.
As you recall, we have a small group of district representatives working towards establishing a K-12 Schools Connectivity Consortium. One of the steps in this process is for the NHDOE to file an eRate form 470 on behalf of the consortium of schools, requesting the services of a managed service provider (see definition within the RFP). The 470 will be posted today, along with a Request for Proposals for Services.
Additional information about all of this is posted at http://nheon.org/oet/erate (look for the consortium link).
We need your help. Regardless of whether you feel your district will participate directly in this consortium, there are many districts with very limited technology department staff that could benefit greatly from a consortium purchasing approach. Please complete the 8 questions on the School eRate Survey here <https://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?formkey=dHgxMmRSenRMSWxvQWZBZj
JSb0ZhcGc6MA> .
REMINDER: All districts that apply for eRate discounts beyond plain old telephone service discounts are required to have a current and approved technology plan. In order to participate in the K12 consortium, your district must have a DRAFT technology plan that exists in your district.
Please note you do not have to send it to the NHDOE at this point. The final plan must be submitted to the NHDOE and approved prior to the date when the eRate requested services begin. Here is some light reading:

Thank you in advance for your assistance with this important effort to reduce Internet connectivity costs while increasing the level of connectivity to all schools.
