[NHDOE-ETNews] Call for Nominations for NHSTE 2010 Awards

The following notice was just posted by the NH Society for Technology in
Education (NHSTE). Do you know someone who should be nominated?

 

Nominations for the 2010 NHSTE Awards Are Now Open!

 

To begin the 2010 NHSTE Awards Nomination Process, visit:

The NHSTE awards selection committee is now accepting online nominations
for these prestigious awards through October 29, 2010.  Please consider
nominating (or re-nominating) a friend or colleague who you feel has
made a significant positive impact on technology use in education.
Selection criteria for each of these awards:  

*	NHSTE Pat Keyes Technology-Using Educator Award Selection
Criteria:

	*	The nominee must a PK-12 classroom teacher. 
	*	The nominee's work has had a significant positive impact
on technology use in education; locally, regionally, statewide and/or
nationally. 
	*	The nominee works tirelessly to genuinely improve the
quality of education 
	*	The nominee demonstrates improved student performance
with application of technology. 
	*	The nominee has shared ideas and contributed to the
profession by presenting at professional conferences, seminars, and or
workshops or publishing articles in print or through electronic media. 

*	NHSTE Susan Janosz Technology Impact Award Selection Criteria:

	*	The nominee is not a PK-16 teacher 
	*	The nominee has provided leadership in a public or
private PK-16 New Hampshire school(s). 
	*	The nominee's work has had a significant positive impact
on technology use in education locally, statewide, regionally and/or
nationally. 
	*	The nominee has involved the community in the initiative
or program to facilitate partnerships with business and/or legislative
initiatives to advance the use of technology in education. 
	*	The nominee supports technology within the context of
school reform, restructuring and improvement. 
	*	The nominee demonstrates a commitment to ongoing
self-education by keeping abreast of emerging technologies. 
	*	The quality of education and/or work experience has been
significantly advanced in the nominee's workplace as a result of the
nominee's efforts. 
	*	In the past, this award has gone to Technology
Directors, Technology Coordinators, Technology Integrationists,
Curriculum Coordinators, Media Specialists/Generalists, SAU
Administration (i.e., Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents)
and/or School District Administrators (i.e., Principals and Vice
Principals)
