What is the link between libraries and learning? There's a new link on
the NHSAA.org home page which takes you to a research gateway at
www.EdReadySearch.org. Once there, you will find lots of materials that
address this question, along with resources on how to improve library
media services. Here's the intro paragraph:

School Library/Media Centers

School media centers have been shown to support student achievement and
learning. In order to create and improve upon library media services,
educators may want to become familiarized with research on topics such
as: how libraries support student learning, elements of effective
libraries, planning a media center, the librarian's role,
teacher-librarian collaboration and administrator support. Go to
www.nhsaa.org and click on the link. While you are at the research
gateway, you may wish to bookmark it and come back for research on other
topics, too.

What a great resource (kudos to Sue Ballard for the tip)!
