A few people have asked if there is a template/form for the grant applications for TLC, minigrant, and DR consortium. This will be posted shortly. I have been delayed on this. Please be patient, as there are several things going on in our office at once.

You do NOT need the template in order to get started writing your grant proposal. Here are my suggestions:

1. Read the RFP online again - www.nheon.org/oet/nclb.

Write up a short narrative of your project. Who is involved, why, when will things take place, etc. Make a note of those items that are important features of the grant you intend to apply for. As an example, since you need to attach to your proposal a letter of support from your principal and superintendent, you can discuss your project with them now and ask for that letter now.

2. Go to www.nheon.org/oet/nclb and use the link to the survey monkey partnering request form to add your contact info -- if you want to partner with other districts on a grant. View the list of potential partners linked from that page.

3. Line up the people involved and their contact info. For any teacher participating in a grant, it is imperative that you talk with them first. In past years, we have found that sometimes principals sign up their teachers for a project without the teacher knowing about or agreeing to it. This is not the best way to enlist engaged and interested participants! :)

4. Complete STEP 1 online (see link below).
