This is an update on the ed tech grants application process. This is a competitive only process due to federal regulations and the amount of funding available this year. There are no "formula" allocations to districts, so those districts submitting applications which receive the highest review scores will be funded.
There are three grant application types to apply for:
Tech Leader (TLC) Program -- This is largely a professional development program organized around cohorts across the state.
Classroom Tech Minigrants -- This is largely a classroom project based learning program providing equipment and support to school teams for an inquiry project structured around an essential question.
Digital Resources Consortium -- This is intended to support a statewide conversation about what "Learning Powered with Technology" should look like and what digital resources are needed by school districts to support learning. Phase I will be the conversation, wherein all NH districts will be invited to participate. Phase II will be a modestly funded implementation of the recommendations which come out of the Phase I dialogue. While funding is limited this year, this project has the potential to become the seed of a larger statewide implementation in the future.
Application forms and related information, including a list of districts eligible to receive grant funding, are available at www.nheon.org/oet/nclb.
Regards,
Cathy
