ITEM: Support High Speed Internet Access in Schools
Remember how frustrated you were the last time you couldn't connect to the internet because you had no cell phone service or because your home connection had failed? Far too many of America's students and teachers go through that every single day at school.

In today's fast-paced global economy, all students and teachers need to be connected to the world of learning that the internet provides. Currently, however, far too many are stuck with slow connections or no connection at all.

Broadband connectivity in schools and libraries is critical to achieving the higher college- and career- ready goals set for students across the United States. Whether in an urban or rural setting, all students should be afforded access to robust digital learning through streamed video, online courseware, virtual field trips, consistent data usage, as well as safe and reliable connections to appropriate internet research. Without a basic broadband infrastructure, the potential of digital learning will go unrealized.

Take A Moment To Act Now!
Add your name in support for the "99 in 5" Campaign - <http://digitallearningday.us4.list-manage2.com/track/click?u=9ce47950aea28fe1575772f4a&id=39065e4c20&e=cebc71a7af> a call for policy makers to act swiftly to connect 99 percent of America's students to high-speed wireless internet access within the next five years.
