ITEM: FREE Assistive Technology Training, sponsored by the NH Department
of Education and NHAIM (NH Accessible Instructional Materials)

 

You are invited to register for the FREE Assistive Technology Training
for NH TVI's and NH Special Educators or Related Therapists who are
working with a student who has a print disability. Come learn how to use
your free accessible materials (digital formats of textbooks) with
Assistive Technology Supports for your students including: free
magnification options as well as software such as Zoomtext and MAGic,
iPad apps for Blind/ Low Vision as well as Print Disabilities and
learning Disabilities, and using your digital text with refreshable
Braille displays. Also learn how your students can complete assignments
using Voice Recognition options, free and paid software and apps. iPad
apps demonstrated will address  academic support as well as support in
employment and the community. An overview of Bookshare and the latest
additions of features to Bookshare will also be demonstrated.

 

When: Tuesday, April 16th, 3:30pm-6:30pm

Where: NH Department of Education, Room #15

Cost: FREE
