ITEM: Chester Academy Seeking IT Project Manager
The Chester School District is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and support a small IT department. The Project Manager will work in partnership with our fulltime technology specialist to meet all the technology needs of a K-8 500+ student school environment and with 75+ employees.
This is a unique opportunity for a creative individual with strong problem solving skills to revise, design, and create an instructional environment for students using 21st Century technology skills and tools as an integral part of day to day learning. We have a strong community approach with faculty, parents, and school board members who are receptive to innovation and change.
This position require collaboration with all building departments, the ability to problem solve unexpected issues in a child-centered work environment, excellent technical and management skills, and strong written communication skills.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. At least five years project management/technical management experience or related work experience. Experience working in the educational field preferred, but not required.
Salary and Hours
May create a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the district. Prefer to offer a salary w/o benefits plan however, open to negotiation. First interview will be with principal and school employees. Final candidates will meet with school board on June 4th. Be prepared to present a desirable salary and hiring plan to the school board. (Salary $55,000 -$70,000 range)
