ITEM: Reviewers needed for K-12 Computer Science (CS) framework

Please send to appropriate folks:

The first review period for the K-12 Computer Science (CS) framework - developed by Code.org, the Computer Science Teachers Association, and the Association for Computing Machinery, along with more than 100 advisors within the computing community - begins February 3 with the release of the high school (grades 9-12) layer of concepts and descriptions of K-12 practices. We invite you to review the framework and participate in the opportunity to shape a vision for K-12 CS education.

The goal of the K-12 CS Framework is to describe a foundation for what all students need to know and be able to do in computer science, from kindergarten through grade 12. The framework will provide guidance to states and districts who want to design standards, curriculum, assessments, or teacher preparation programs.

Instructions for individuals and facilitators of group reviews, an online review submission form, the review draft of the 9-12 grade band, and background materials are now available at http://k12cs.org/review/<http://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?f=001nx7zeKJWOLuu55G7LI0uIsJTSqHtUMNba4B15Y_UPrNALOIeoh4r3Im4fMoQ0ii5tDq1zp7TwfK0wIbgsOKFU2dPDLFG9GTbETvAqPNtTVM93_OGna5vuTeuYIO2oz5KNAjpWdGmMOQyEwD030cWAYarSazLdRF31J32LwbBBwRlHxE2gDUYIg==&c=LQZkXxmZOQ2zVRDW6lVPGp3kwpI_GeM2itVJUbBUH8-RHenB2TBNaA==&ch=grka3M5p1bCIezUXufk3y45xn1Ekpi_SDzETGY_TpRNg3xFJ0cx5oA==>. The entire K-12 draft will be available for the second review period, March 14 to April 1.

Individuals and institutions are invited to be reviewers of the K-12 CS framework. Institutions, such as state/district departments of education, and organizations (industry, companies, non-profits), are responsible for selecting an individual or a group to represent the institution. If you are a group, you should combine all of the feedback into one submission.
